Scope of this privacy statement

This privacy statement applies to all services provided by Up Your Club, including the website, the golf data dashboard, free and paid user accounts, subscriptions, analytics services, AI-powered training insights, and customer support. Personal data is processed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable international privacy laws.

Personal data we process

Free accounts

When creating a free account, we process only the minimum personal data required to provide access to the platform:

  • Email address
  • Account identifier (user ID)
  • IP address
  • Timezone

The email address is used exclusively for account access, security-related communication, service updates, and password recovery.

Paid subscriptions

When subscribing to a paid plan, additional personal data is processed to manage subscriptions, billing, and compliance requirements:

  • Email address
  • Account identifier (user ID)
  • IP address
  • Timezone
  • Name (first and last name)
  • Billing address
  • Country, state, or region of residence
  • Subscription status, plan type, and billing period
  • Transaction references and invoices

Payments are processed securely through Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record for transactions on the platform. Paddle handles payment processing, tax collection, invoicing, and related billing operations on behalf of 1314 Media. Up Your Club does not store full payment card details.

User-uploaded golf performance data

Our platform allows users to upload CSV files containing golf performance data generated by launch monitors. These files may include performance-related data and, depending on the context, personal data.

Users remain the owner of all uploaded data. Up Your Club processes this data solely to provide analytics, visualizations, training-related insights, and related platform functionality.

Users can:

  • View which data is processed within their account
  • Download their uploaded CSV files and processed output
  • Delete uploaded data through their account or upon request

User-uploaded data is not used for marketing, profiling, or automated decision-making in the legal sense.

AI-generated training insights

Certain platform features use artificial intelligence to generate training insights and performance guidance. For this purpose, Up Your Club may send aggregated, non-identifiable performance statistics derived from uploaded golf data to AI service providers, including OpenAI.

These requests do not include directly identifiable personal data such as name, email address, billing details, or account identifiers. The data shared is limited to the information necessary to generate training-related insights.

Use of user-uploaded data for support and debugging

In certain cases, it may be necessary to access user-uploaded CSV files to investigate and resolve technical issues or bugs that occur at an individual user level.

Such access is:

  • Strictly limited to what is necessary to resolve the reported issue
  • Used solely for debugging, troubleshooting, quality assurance, and service continuity

Data accessed for these purposes is not retained longer than necessary and is never used for secondary purposes.

Support and contact data

When contacting us via support channels or contact forms, we may process:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Message content
  • Any additional information voluntarily provided to resolve your request

Device and technical data

When using our website or platform, we may process technical and usage-related data, including:

  • IP address

Account security and passwords

When creating an account, users set a password to secure access to their account.

Passwords are stored in an encrypted and hashed form and cannot be viewed or retrieved by Up Your Club. We do not have access to users’ passwords.

If a password is forgotten, users can reset it via a secure password recovery process.

Bot and spam protection

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to protect our sign-up, login, and password-reset forms from automated abuse and spam. To distinguish human visitors from bots, Turnstile may process technical information about your visit, including:

  • IP address
  • Signals about your browser and device

This check runs in the background, requires no action from you, and is not used to track you across other websites. For details on how this data is handled, see Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Analytics and tracking tools

We use the following analytics and usability tools:

  • Google Analytics (GA4) – to analyze usage of the website and platform. IP anonymization is enabled where applicable.
  • Microsoft Clarity – to generate heatmaps and session insights to improve usability.

These tools may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are applied.

Sharing data with third parties

Personal data is shared only with trusted third-party service providers where necessary to deliver our services, including:

  • Paddle.com, which acts as Merchant of Record for payment processing, billing, tax handling, and invoicing
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers
  • Cloudflare, which provides Turnstile bot and spam protection on our forms

These parties act as processors or service providers where applicable and are subject to contractual, confidentiality, and data protection obligations.

  • Free account data: retained as long as the account remains active
  • Subscription and billing data: retained in accordance with legal retention obligations
  • User-uploaded data: retained until deleted by the user or account termination
  • Support communications: retained for a reasonable period after resolution
  • Analytics data: retained according to provider settings
  • AI-related request content: retained only as necessary for service delivery, security, and troubleshooting, subject to provider retention practices where applicable
